The Trustees of Together for the Church of England congratulate the Rt Revd Cherry Vann on her election as the next Archbishop of Wales. We have appreciated her gifts in ministry during her career in the Church of England, and warmly welcome the Electoral College’s decision that she is the right person for the Church in Wales at this time. We rejoice that as the first female and same-sex partnered Archbishop in the Anglican churches of Britain, she embodies a future where her gender is no bar to leadership and her relationship can be fully celebrated as a model of commitment and fidelity.
